Whether you are a new Habano cigar aficionado or you already have a lot of experience, it is important to know the different strengths of Habanos for greater enjoyment.
Our advice is that if you are new to the world of Habanos, start by trying brands such as Hoyo de Monterrey, Quai D’orsay, H.Upmann. Little by little, as time goes by, your palate will ask for stronger cigars. Generally, it is in the larger and thicker cigars where you will find more richness of aromas and flavors. Normally, the cigar’s strength goes in ascending mode, although there are vitolas that start with a great explosion of flavors and a great strength, as is the case of the Cohiba Behike.

Each Habano brand has its own characteristics and flavor styles. So much so that within the same brand you can find cigars with different aromas. The bigger the Habano, the more variety of flavors you will find.
Double-figurado cigars offer a unique experience from start to finish. When you reach the larger-caliber part of the cigar, you will appreciate the true richness of the cigar.
In smaller caliber cigars, the “ligero” leaf, which is what gives the tobacco its strength, is usually omitted.
We hope this short post will help you to understand in a brief and simple way the different strengths and flavors of Habanos. See you soon!
